Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts
The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts will return to downtown State
College July 11th-13th. The 42nd Annual Sidewalk Sale &
Exhibition will feature over 300 exhibitors and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8
p.m. Friday & Saturday and from Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The festival
will feature Italian street painting, sand sculptures, live performances, a
silent auction, and food vendors. Admission to the festival is free. Visitors can park in the Jordan East Lot. Parking is $5/ car. A free shuttle service will run from the lot to campus and downtown State College. For a detailed list of events and activities

People's Choice Festival of Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts
The People's Choice Festival will take place July 11th-13th at the Pennsylvania Military Museum Grounds in Boalsburg. Hours of the festival are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday & Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The festival features the art of 169 local, Pennsylvania artists. Besides art, visitors can enjoy live entertainment, a variety of food vendors, and a youth art sale. Admission is free. For a detailed listing of events, visit www.peopleschoicefestival.com.

The free astronomy festival features children's activities, planetarium shows, a 3-D tour of Mars, comet demonstrations, and more. If the weather is clear, the rooftop observatory will also be open. Admission is free.
Wednesday, July 16th
Centre Region Parks & Recreation Family Fun Night
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Tonight's theme is "Hawaiian Night" at the swimming pool. The evening will feature swimming, contests, games, and prize giveaways. Admission is free for pool season pass holders and $3.50 per person for non-pass holders.
Thursday, July 17th
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Park Forest Middle School Gym
Admission to the carnival is free. Once inside, children can purchase bags of peanuts for 25 cents and use the peanuts to play games.
Sixth Annual Lift For Life
The Sixth Annual Lift For Life will be held July 11th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Holuba Hall. The event features numerous Nittany Lion football student-athletes competing in an 11 event strength and conditioning challenge that raises money for the Kidney Cancer Association. Last year, the event raised over $80,000 for the organization. The event is open to the public. A suggested donation of $10 per person or $25 per family is asked for at the door. Fans will also have a chance to meet with the athletes and receive autographs. For more information about the event, visit the event's website.
