Centre County Grange Encampment & Fair

The 134th Annual Centre County Grange Encampment & Fair will take place August 22nd - August 28th at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall. The fair will feature livestock exhibits, arts & crafts, baked goods contests, tractor pulls, live entertainment, amusement rides, and food vendors. Daily admission is $5/adult and children ages 11 & under are admitted free. A weekly pass can be purchased for $15. Single-day parking is $3/car. Monday, August 25th is Kid's Day at the fair. All children through high school age are admitted free until 6 p.m. Amusement rides will also be discounted until 6 p.m. on Kid's Day. The State Theatre

The State Theatre, located on West College Avenue, celebrated its' re-opening in December of 2006. Since its' re-opening nearly two years ago, the theatre has hosted numerous muscians, bands, theatrical performances, children's movies, and foreign films. The theatre's renovation gave the theatre new restrooms, an upgraded sound & lighting system, air conditioning, an elevator, and a new movie screen. Coming to The State Theatre in September is Bankie Banx, Three Poles Walk Into A Bar Comedy Tour, The Bill Frisell Trio, and Patty Loveless. 2008 Wedding Showcase &, in partnership with the Bryce Jordan Center, will host the 2008 Wedding Showcase Sunday, September 28th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The show will feature numerous vendors, a fashion show, live seminars, etc.
