Centre Region Punt, Pass, & Kick Competition

Centre Region Parks & Recreation will host the Punt, Pass, & Kick Competition Sunday, October 5th at Haluba Hall on campus.  Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the competition begins at Noon.  The competition will be divided into the following categories: 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15 for both boys and girls.  There is no fee to compete and the competition is open to all children in the Centre Region ages 8-15.  The top finishers in each age group will advance to future competitions.  For more information regarding the event, visit CRPR's website.

Rocktober Fest

Rocktober Fest will take place Sunday, October 5th at Tussey Mountain.  The event opens at Noon and features an all day chili and food fair, a chili cook-off, hayrides, pumpkin painting, scenic chair lift rides, and a bounce house.  There will be magic shows, a dance performance, and a Tussey Mountain Idol contest.  Original Cover Band will perform at 5:30 p.m. and The Clarks will perform at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is $5/adult before 5 p.m. and $10/adult after 5 p.m.  Portions of the admission costs will go to St. Jude's Children Hospital.  For more information about the event, visit Tussey Mountain's website.

Registration for the walk begins at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11 a.m.  Participants will walk around the warning track of the field.  Lunch will be provided after the walk on the Concourse Level of the stadium.

Ebony & Ivory Tribute

The State Theatre will host the Ebony & Ivory Tribute For the Bob Zimmerman Steinway Piano Fund Sunday, October 5th at 4 p.m. at the State Theatre.  The evening will feature four local pianists playing different selections.  The Bob Zimmerman Memorial Piano Fund was established in January of 2007 upon the passing of Bob Zimmerman to purchase a Steinway piano for the State Theatre.  Tickets to the fundraiser are $20/adult and $5 for children ages 12 & under.  For more information regarding the fundraiser, visit the State Theatre's website.
