Children's Halloween Trail & Festival
The annual Children's Halloween Trail & Festival will take place
October 25th & 26th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center. The non-scary
Halloween trail is designed for families and children and the guided tour lasts
around 45 minutes. Trail tickets are $5/person; children ages 3 & under are
admitted free. Due to the popularity of the trail, families are encouraged to
purchase tickets in advance. The festival features pumpkin carving, face
painting, music, children's activities, natural history programs, crafts, and
food. Admission to the festival is free.
63rd Annual Centre Region Halloween Costume Parade
The 63rd annual Centre Region Halloween Costume Parade, sponsored by Centre Region Parks & Recreatio and the State College Lions Club, will take place Tuesday, October 28th at 7 p.m. in downtown State College. The parade will form on Burrowes Road at 6:30 p.m. The parade will end at Memorial Field where costumes will be judged by the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. Costume categories include Halloween Tiny Tots (ages 2 & under), Cartoon Characters, Witches & Monsters, Fairy Tale Characters, Ghosts & Goblins, TV/Movie Characters, Animals on Parade, Halloween Twosome, Groups, and Open Class. There is no admission fee to enter the parade.

The State Theatre
The State Theatre will show Teen Wolf at 4:30 p.m., Alien at 7 p.m., and Friday the 13th at 9:45 a.m. Tickets to each movie are $7/adult and $3/Penn State student.

The annual haunted house is designed for children ages 12 & under. Upon request, tours can be modified for children easily scared.
Salvation Army & Food Bank Charity Yard Sale
Stor-All Self Storage will host a tenant and public yard sale Saturday, October 25th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their location on Science Park Road. Tenants will be selling items from their storage units while tables at the sale can be purchased by the public for $10 each. Canned goods will also be collected at the yard sale. Proceeds from table sales will benefit The Salvation Army & the Centre Region Food Bank. A free pumpkin will be handed out to children at the sale while supplies last.
