 An Evening of Elegant Macabre

The State Theatre will host An Evening of Elegant Macabre, the first annual masked ball, Saturday, November 1st at 6 p.m. at the Ramada Inn.  The evening will feature dinner, dancing, student magicians & jugglers, and a live auction featuring autographed guitars & concert packages from Jimmy Buffett and Tom Petty.  Event dress is black tie attire along with masks and elegant costumes.  For more information about the event or to purchase tickets, please call the State Theatre at 272-0606, ext. 314.


Historic Harvest Festival

Centre Region Parks & Recreation presents the Historic Harvest Festival Sunday, November 2nd from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center on Puddintown Road.  The festival will feature nature walks, homemade goods, live music, crafts, square dancing, Centre County history programs, and games.  Admission to the festival is free for the entire family.

Childbirth Education Association's 7th Annual One Stop Holiday Shop

The CEA's 7th Annual One Stop Holiday Shop event will take place Saturday, November 1st from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Mount Nittany Middle School.  The event will feature over 40 craft vendors, a Chinese auction, bake sale, a large prize basket auction, and food.  CEA is a local, non-profit organization that provides childbirth, baby care, sibling preparation, and grandparenting classes to local families.  Proceeds from the fundraiser will help to keep program fees low along with offering free parenting classes for families in need.
