Boalsburg Hometown Christmas

The annual Boalsburg Hometown Christmas will be held December 5th-7th throughout Boalsburg.  The Boalsburg Fire Hall will host a breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.  Tickets are $5/person for the breakfast.  Also on Saturday, tours of the Boalsburg Heritage Museum will be given from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Sunday will feature horse drawn wagon rides from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Tickets for rides are $2/adult and tickets are not required for children ages 12 & under.  There will also be a church food and craft sale from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John's UCC & Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday.


The Polar Express

The annual Polar Express holiday event returns to downtown State College December 6th & 7th, 13th & 14th, and 20th & 21st.  The event begins with a reading of The Polar Express at the Schlow Centre Region Library.  Following the reading, children and their families will take a trolley ride to Santa's Workshop in downtown State College.  The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and from 2 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. on Sundays.

Held at the holiday decorated mansion, the event will feature local artisans selling jewelry, wooden bowls, candles, ceramics, fine china, antique furniture, holiday greens, linens, etc.  Admission is $5/person and proceeds will benefit the Centre Furnace Mansion

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees will take place December 5th-7th at the Ag Arena on campus.  The event will feature a large variety of holiday trees decorated by local groups & businesses, live music, crafts, food, and a Santa's Workshop.  The event is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday & Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.  Admission is $2/adult and $1 for children ages 13-17.
