Builders Association of Central PA 2009 Home Show

The 2009 Central PA Home Show will take place Friday-Sunday, March 13th-15th at the Bryce Jordan Center.  Hours of the show are Noon - 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday.  The show will feature over 300 home-related businesses & vendors, home seminars, a children's building contest with Legos and Lincoln Logs, hourly door prizes, and more!   One lucky attendee will also win the Grand Prize of the show, a flat screen HDTV. Admission is $6 per adult and children ages 12 & under are admitted free.  Parking is also free courtesy of the Builders Association of Central PA.

National Collegiate Fencing Championships - Opening Day

Bryce Jordan Center

The National Collegiate Fencing Championships begin Thursday morning at 10 a.m.  Opening day will feature the men's epee, foil and sabre, rounds one through four.  Single-day admission is $6/adult and $4 for children and Penn State students.  Full tournament tickets are $18/adult and $12 for children and Penn State students.

Altoona Curve Baseball Bash

The Altoona Curve will host their annual Baseball Bash Friday, March 13th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Blair County Ballpark.  The event will feature a pre-season fireworks display, children's activities, Curve mascots, free hot dogs & popcorn, and college basketball on a big-screen TV.  There will be an "Out-STANDING" Fan Competition at 6 p.m. where one fan will win a pair of Grandstand season tickets.  Competitors will have to stand and remain in contact with a hand, arm, foot, or leg on one of the Curve's life-size bobbleheads.  The last fan standing will win the tickets.  There will also be a discount sale on Curve merchandise.  Come out and get ready for baseball season early!
