Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day is this Sunday and there are a number of events going on in the area that he may enjoy.  The Spikes open up the season Friday night (including Fireworks!) Maybe fishing is his thing, Black Moshannon is having a special Father's Day Fishing event.  There are lots of other things going on as well, catch a movie or a show or Cruise over to Bellefonte for the Annual Bellefonte Cruise (Can't go wrong with Bikes, Cars and Food!)

State College Spikes Kickoff Carnival

Celebrate the beginning of summer and the Spikes' 2009 season on Opening Day, Friday, June 19, with the Summer Kickoff Carnival. he event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Porter Gardens and at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Admission is free, and fans of all ages can enjoy a wide variety of fun activities including Inflatables, carnival games, Ike and the Nookie Monster!

Opening night is Friday Night (6/19) vs. Williamsport. 7:05pm.

Bellefonte Cruise

Located in beautiful downtown Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the Bellefonte Cruise has grown into a much-anticipated event, attended by as many as 10,000 people over the duration of the weekend.  This two day event is scheduled for June 19th and 20th. On June 19th, the streets will be open from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the public to "CRUISE" downtown Bellefonte -- just like it used to be!!!! Following this cruise, from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m., there will be a "SOCK HOP" on the Diamond in Bellefonte.

Saturday there will be a Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show (Setup 7am running till 5pm)

Sunday, 1st Annual Memorial Ride in memory of Brandon M. Miles. The benefit ride starts at 11:00 AM at the Bellefonte High School with registration from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
