Movin On

Penn State prides itself in its rich traditions: the Nittany Lion, JoePa, Beaver Stadium, the Blue Band, scholastic excellence and -  since 1974 - a FREE TO EVERYONE spring music festival called Movin’ On. As one of the largest student-run music festivals in the country, and a Penn State tradition now in its 36th year, Movin’ On brings the top music of today, tomorrow, and yesterday together 11:30 am-11:00 pm Saturday at the HUB lawn. A fun, free science event for the whole family, with over 60 interactive exhibits from rocks and fossils to robots and rockets. You will see a high altitude balloon, 2 planetariums, Q & A with former NASA astronauts, atmospheric pressure experiment that crushes 55 gallon drums, And lots more! Community Spotlight

Salute to the Military Kids

There will be plenty of activities and games for the kids, as well as refreshments and prizes at the Boalsburg Military Museum grounds this weekend. Military families can gain free entry to the museum with a valid military I.D. All are welcome for a day of fun in the sun as they salute the military kids! Arts & crafts, kids' games, a magician and Battery B Drill will be held on the grounds (Sat-Sun). Military helicopters have been invited as well! (more info)


Ride the Fleet Bicycle Charity Event

See Jane Ride Bicycle Tours for Women is proud to announce the arrival of their brand new bicycle fleet. Come try out the bikes at the  Ride the Fleet charity event to benefit the Centre County Women’s Resource Center! Enjoy some great food, learn how change a tire and other mini-workshops.The ride will be this Saturday starting at 11:00 am.  (more info here)
