Happy Memorial Day

Summer is officially here! Boalsburg lays claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day with observances dating back to 1864 and this weekend the town will be hosting a variety of activities. You will be able to see Civil War and WWII reenactors and entertainment.  Boalsburg will also be hosting its annual Fire Carnival and parade, as well as the 146th Memorial Day Festival.  Find out more information and other events occurring at our Memorial Day guide here.

Broadway On Allen Street

The Penn State Downtown Theatre Center begins its summer-long series of FREE noon-time entertainment June 1-4 with "The Brew Review". Featuring PSU musical theatre students, it's great lunchtime entertainment.  Also, "Wait Until Dark", the first of three PA Centre Stage productions begins June 2 and runs through June 12. Coffee, Cars and Bikes

On the last Saturday of each month (starting this Saturday), Tussey Mountain will be giving gearheads a chance to show off their rides. Stop out first thing in the morning for this unique event. Everything starts bright and early at 7:30am and runs until 9:30am.  There will also be a huge breakfast spread available. (learn more here)

First Thursday State College will feature Mike Doughty on the Hiester Street Stage on June 3rd at 7pm as part of the First Thursday Concert Series. In addition, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the evening starting from Allen Street. Parking downtown is free all evening.
