Spring Creek Day Family Festival

Fun for the whole family abounds this Sunday when ClearWater and Centre Region Parks and Rec partner up to host this annual outdoor nature festival!  Everyone is invited to Millbrook Marsh to enjoy live music, food concessions and children’s crafts while learning about the environment through nature walks, boardwalk tours, hands-on outdoor demonstrations and exhibits and presentations by local conservation organizations. 11th Annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook off

Come downtown Saturday 10am-3pm for a fun-filled day including the 5th Annual Chili Cook-off and the Best of Happy Valley Desserts competition as well as Kids Day. Kids Day will be full of kid friendly displays and craft activities in Sidney Friedman Park. There will also be pony rides, a carousel, and pumpkin decorating!! (more)

Series Record: Tied, 11-11

ESPN will nationally televise the contest with Mark Jones and Bob Davie calling the action.

Iowa is ranked 17th by the Associated Press and 18th in the USA Today coaches poll. Penn State is 20th in the coaches poll and 22nd in the AP rankings.

Saturday is Homecoming for Iowa and is Black and Gold Spirit Night in Kinnick Stadium. Fans are encouraged to wear black or gold in support of the Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes are 2-0 against the Nittany Lions on homecoming.

Penn State opens its 18th season of Big Ten competition. The Nittany Lions are coming off a 22-13 win over previously unbeaten Temple, while the Hawkeyes beat Ball State, 45-0, last Saturday.
