Central PA Regional Expo

The Central Pennsylvania Regional Business & Industry Expo presented by 611 MRI/CT will be held on Thursday, November 4, at the Bryce Jordan Center. This event will provide Chamber members the opportunity to promote their products and services to businesses and consumers from throughout the region. It is free to attend the Expo and there will be workshops available throughout the day. You can find more information as well as a current list of exhibitors on our site here. Penn State Football may be on a bye this week, but there is still plenty to do. The BJC is bringing Passion Pit this Friday, the Eagles next Friday and then some Extreme Bikes next Saturday.  You can catch the Goo Goo Dolls at the Eisenhower Auditorium next week as well.  Penn State has two different shows running now up at the Pavilion Theatre and The State Theatre is putting on an "End of Days" film festival.  There are plenty of Penn State sports going on as well.

Paterno's Nittany Lions Need Leaders by Mike Poorman

After the Nittany Lions lost 24-3 to Iowa two weeks ago, Brackett and Ogbu held a players-only meeting the Monday before the Illinois game. It didn’t work. Penn State was roundly drubbed by the visiting Illini 33-13, the worst Homecoming loss of the Paterno era and a showing by the Lion offense that ranks among its worst ever. Shaver's Creek Fall Festival

Make plans now to attend The Shaver's Creek Fall Festival. The forest comes alive next weekend with a community festival that includes pumpkin carving, face painting, music, entertainment, activities, natural history programs, crafts, great food, and the Children’s Halloween Trail! This year there will also be a Harvest Baking Challenge! The festival is free, but the trail is $5 for ages 4 and up (free for children under 3). (more)
