2011 First Night State College
First Night State College will take over downtown Dec. 31. Along
with the large ice sculptures on Allen St., First Night will feature
musical and theatrical performances
in downtown churches, carriage rides, reindeer display, a Grand
Procession, indoor and outdoor resolution sculptures, and art workshops

Penn State Outback Bowl Notes

Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET
ABC will nationally televise the contest with Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden and Suzy Kolber calling the action.
The Nittany Lions and Gators are meeting for the third time, with all
three meetings in bowl games. Florida has won the two previous contests,
in the 1962 Gator Bowl (17-7) and the 1998 Florida Citrus Bowl (21-6).
The Outback Bowl is the only 2010-11 post-season game featuring
head coaches that both have won a national championship.
The Nittany Lions are playing in their fifth New Year's bowl game
in the past six years, having played in the 2006 FedEx Orange Bowl,
2007 Outback Bowl, 2009 Rose Bowl and 2010 Capital One Bowl.
