Happy Memorial Day
Summer is officially here! Boalsburg lays claim to being the
birthplace of Memorial Day with
observances dating back to 1864 and this weekend the town will be
hosting a variety of activities. You will be able to see American and German WWII re-enactors and entertainment. Boalsburg will also be hosting its annual Fire Carnival and parade, as well as the 147th Memorial Day Festival. Find out more information and other events occurring at our Memorial Day guide here.
Memorial Day Tribute Contest
Submit your Memorial Day tribute to a loved one, family member or friend in either of two categories: someone who gave their life in service to their country or someone whose life inspired you and helped make you who you are today. We'll post the submissions on our Memorial Day Page and draw winners next week. Those chosen in each category will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Gamble Mill Restaurant. (enter here)
