New Faces of an Ancient People
The Pennsylvania State University and the State College Area School
District are hosting the 9th Annual "New Faces of an Ancient People
Traditional American Indian Powwow" this weekend, Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April
15, at the Mount Nittany Middle School. Admission is free and the
public is invited to attend.
Doors, Vendors and Native Kitchen open at 11:00 a.m., both days. (click for more information and schedule)
Exploration Day 2012
Exploration Day is a celebration of the spirit
and opportunity of exploration and science at Penn State. The free event
will take place this Saturday at the Park Forest Middle School. Come
enjoy hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering and
math (STEM) that will surely inspire children and adults alike. (more info)
Penn Faire 2012
Penn Faire 2012 is a soon-to-be annual renaissance faire that is free
and open to the public and takes place on the HUB lawn from
11am-5pm this weekend, with different main stage and side events both days. Between
the main stage shows, side events, and a kids' corner, there's something

Taste of India
Taste of India celebrates Indian cuisine and culture. It is a culinary
extravaganza featuring exotic dishes from various parts of India. Stop in Saturday at 5:00 pm in the South Building Cafeteria, State College Area High School. (more info)

will hold a casting call next week.

Civil War Artillery Drill Weekend
A Civil War Era re-enactment group of the 3rd Pennsylvania Volunteers
will encamp on the Pennsylvania Military Museum grounds this weekend, demonstrating the loading and firing of
replica, period artillery pieces. Noon to 4:00pm each day. (more info)
