Nittany Antique Machinery Show

The 38th Annual Fall Show featuring Oliver Tractors and equipment will take place this weekend (dawn til dusk) starting Thursday, Sept. 6 at Penn's Cave. With literally tons of tractors on display and dozens of activities, there will be plenty to do for all!  Some activities include, steam tractor pull on Friday and Saturday at dark, Mobile Ag Education science lab, apple cider pressing, antique tractors in operation, food, live entertainment  and crafts! Then and NOW: A Military Timeline

The "Then & NOW Military History Time Line Encampment/Bivouac" this weekend at the PA Military Museum Grounds, hosts a score of reenactors from the 18th through 21st centuries.  The two-day event features music spanning three centuries, a 1pm Battle Dress fashion show and weapons demonstration with plenty of opportunity to talk to the participants about their hobby.  The Time Line brings the past alive for a great back-to-school experience. Greenwood Furnace Folk Gathering

The Greenwood Furnace Folk Gathering is a weekend of music with plenty of opportunities to share, jam, dance and learn. Musicians of all levels as well as non-musicians who wish to listen or experiment, or pick up a dance step or two, are invited to participate in workshops designed and led by professional instructors. Saturday evening’s highlight will be a concert with Simple Gifts followed by a contradance. All weekend at Greenwood Furnace State Park. (more info)
