The students are back in town, winter sports are in full swing and there is snow on the ground; the new year has officially begun. will continue to provide you with everything you need to keep up-to-date on the latest news, events and activities. WInter Festival

Make plans to have some Fun in the Snow at Black Mo NEXT Saturday (Jan. 19)! The Black Moshannon Winter Festival is next Saturday from noon to 5pm. There will be fires where you can warm up or roast marshmallows. Ice skating, broom ball, ice miniature golf, snow sculpture building, sled riding and borrowing snowshoes or cross country skis will be offered throughout the day. (more info)

MLK Day of Service

Penn State's University Park campus will honor the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. during its 28th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration. There will be many events, highlighted by speaker Ruby Bridges on Jan. 23 (Schwab Aud.) On November 14, 1960, surrounded by armed U.S. Federal Marshals, Ruby Bridges became the very first black student to attend William Frantz Public School in New Orleans. (list of events)
