Bon Jovi

This Saturday the Bryce Jordan Center is being renamed the Bon Jovi Center. Bon Jovi will bring their "Because We Can Tour" into State College Saturday night at 7:30pm with no opening act, just lots and lots of great Bon Jovi hits. Tickets start are still available and start out at only $19.50. Ain’t no party like a Bon Jovi party! Also coming to the BJC next week is one of the world's biggest DJs, Tiesto, next Tuesday night. Rube Goldberg Machine Contest

This Saturday come watch Penn State student teams compete in the 2013 Penn State Regional Rube Goldberg Machine Contest in Presidents Hall at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center on Penn State’s University Park campus. Suitable for children age 5 and above, the contest is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. This year’s national challenge is to design and build a machine that hammers a nail in 20 or more steps. (more info)

THON 2013 Sets New Record

THON is completed for another year and has raised $12.37 million (a new record) to help kids with cancer. This year's total broke a new record, beating the 2012 total of $10.69 million by nearly $2 million. StateCollege,com is proud to have been a part of THON and congratulates all the dancers and others who helped raise money and organize the event.
