Central PA 2013 Home Show

Investing in your home is always a stressful decision. The Builders Association of Central PA helps to make it easier by bringing together all of the professionals under one roof. Get inspired to build, remodel, renovate, or redecorate by visiting the 29th Annual Central PA Home Show all this weekend, March 15-17, at the Bryce Jordan Center. All for only $5. Children 12 and under are free and parking is also free, courtesy of the Builders Association of Central PA. (hours and more info)

Wild About Animals

The 14th annual "Wild About Animals" event is this Saturday, March 16th. 10 am - 3 pm at the Snider Ag Arena. It features a variety of animal-related organizations such as veterinarians, rescue groups, a petting zoo, environmental groups, etc. with an emphasis on education and outreach. Among the events scheduled are a silent auction, a children's section, face painting, carnival games, educational programs, pony rides and lots of interesting animals such as dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, hawks, chickens, livestock and a real live Zebra! Maple Harvest Festival at Shaver's Creek

Enjoy a Pancake Breakfast and learn how the syrup is made next weekend (3/23-24) at Shaver's Creek.  Activities include learning how to identify and tap maple trees, seeing the process of turning sap into syrup, hearing live music, seeing live birds of prey and, of course, eating all-you-can-eat pancakes and maple syrup.  (more info)
