Earth Day BIrthday Celebration

Celebrate Earth Day at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center this Sunday 2:00-5:00pm. Great fun for the whole family and it's free. Come enjoy an afternoon of fun and learning. Visit displays from local environmental organizations, enjoy kids activities and crafts, food, games, and moer. Earth Day Birthday is an enjoyable time for all ages and open to the public for no charge. Event will be held rain or shine. (more info)

Civil War Artillery Drill Weekend

A Civil War Era re-enactment group of the 3rd Pennsylvania Volunteers will encamp on the Pennsylvania Military Museum grounds this weekend, demonstrating the loading and firing of replica, period artillery pieces. Noon to 4:00pm each day.  (more info)



Baseball Through the Ages

Greenwood Furnace State Park is hosting the Annual Vintage Baseball event this Saturday (4/13) from 2 - 5 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Planned activities include: a catching and pitching activity, a historical comparison of baseball then and now of equipment, music and terminology of the 19th century game. Participants can enjoy playing in a game of baseball as it was played in the 1800’s with vintage rules and equipment. There will also be a special guest appearance by the Nookie Monster. (more info)

State College Spikes National Anthem Auditions

The opportunity for local singers to perform in front of thousands of fans at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is just one audition away. The State College Spikes will be holding auditions for local performers to sing the national anthem at one of the Spikes’ 38 home games during the 2013 season this Saturday, April 13th at The State Theatre in downtown State College. The auditions will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (more Info)
