Movin On

Penn State University prides itself in its rich traditions: The Nittany Lion, JoePa, Beaver Stadium, the Blue Band, scholastic excellence, and, since 1975, a FREE TO EVERYONE spring music festival called Movin’ On. As perhaps the largest student-run music festivals in the country, and a Penn State tradition now in its 39th year, Movin’ On brings the top music of today, tomorrow, and yesterday together as a celebration of those graduating Nittany Lions “movin’ on” in their academic and professional lives. This Friday, 3:00pm, near the BJC and Beaver Stadium. Lineup includes: Gloriana, Big Boi and MGMT. (more info)

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band will make their first ever appearance at the Bryce Jordan Center next Thursday (May 2). There is a signature richness and power to the music that Bob Seger has been making for four decades, and as succeeding generations have discovered those qualities, his reputation as an artist and songwriter has only grown. In a time as obsessed with glamour, celebrity, fame and materialism as ours, his songs remain a bracing tonic, an emblem of the belief that everyone’s life is a worthy subject of art. Tickets still available. (more info)
