Trash To Treasure

This Saturday, in Beaver Stadium (Gate B), Penn State and the Centre County United Way, along with hundreds of volunteers, will join forces to stage the 12th annual Trash to Treasure sale. Unbelievable selection and prices, featuring rugs, furniture, clothes, electronics, housewares and more. Last year 66.5 tons of items were sold to the community, grossing more than $57,400 for the Centre County United Way. 7:30 am - 9:00 am, $5 early bird admission, after 9:00 am Free. Free parking in Stadium West lot, Park Ave. at the light between Porter and University roads.  (more info)

Nittany Antique Machinery Show

This weekend at Penns Cave, the Nittany Antique Machinery Assoc. of Central PA will be having its 38th annual Spring Show. This year's show features 15 year and older garden tractors. There will be exhibits, a craft show and flea market, food, tractor pulls and a parade of tractors. Free admission every day! (more info here)

Spring Creek Day Festival

ClearWater Conservancy will hold its annual celebration of Spring Creek this Saturday (10am-2pm) at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. The event starts in the morning with a 5K run and continues through early afternoon with a host of educational events, conservation displays, programs, food and music for all ages. The festival is a free, rain or shine event. Activities for children typically include a sing-along, a scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, an aquatic bug hunt, giant bunnies, ambulance tours, animal tracking, rocks and minerals and pressed flower bookmarks and necklaces.
