Penn State Fall Sports

Penn State football is taking center stage this weekend when they take on Syracuse, Saturday at 3:30 pm at MetLife Stadium.  You can follow Penn State Football on all season, but don't forget about the other PSU fall sports.  Women's volleyball, field hockey and men's and women's soccer have all started.  Check out top athletes and exciting games that the whole family can attend and enjoy.  You can find upcoming games on our community calendar, as well as, on our Penn State Sports page. A fun and free festival for the whole family with all-new activities and old favorites at Crickfest this Sunday in Penns Valley! Enjoy live music, prepared local foods, and fun and educational activities. Crickfest is free and open to the public. All profits from Crickfest go to the PVCA's environmental education program in the Penns Valley Area School District. Some activities and events include a rubber ducky race, petting zoo, scavenger hunt, musical acts and storytelling. (more info)

Nittany Antique Machinery Show

The 39th Annual Fall Show featuring John Deere Tractors and equipment will take place NEXT weekend (dawn til dusk) starting Thursday, Sept. 5 at Penn's Cave. With literally tons of tractors on display and dozens of activities, there will be plenty to do for all!  Some activities include, steam tractor pull on Friday and Saturday at dark, Mobile Ag Education science lab, apple cider pressing, antique tractors in operation, food, live entertainment  and crafts! The teams first met in 1922 in a scoreless tie that was played at the historic Polo Grounds.

This is the first time the Nittany Lions will open their season away from Beaver Stadium since the 2000 Kickoff Classic against USC.

The Orange and Nittany Lions have combined for 1,421 all-time victories. Syracuse has 698 wins. Penn State owns 723.
