Eventapalooza will be held this SUnday at WPSU’s studio in Innovation Park with activities and crafts provided by student and community partners, meet-and-greets with Daniel Tiger, Cat In The Hat and Clifford the Big Red Dog, book giveaways, door prizes, and more. Kids are encouraged to bring pet-food donations, which will be shared with area humane agencies and local food banks that also provision pet-food pantries. The event is free to the public and doors open at 1 p.m. (more info)

Kid's Day: Dress up and Discover

Kids of all ages get to try on the field and head gear from the PA Military museum education collection. Visit the education stations in the galleries for more fun discoveries throughout the day. Saturday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Buy-one-get-one-free admission rates are in effect. As always, Friends of the museum get in for FREE! Parents need to remain on-site. (more info)

Community Spotlight

Run for Shelter 5k

Please join us this Saturday, November 9 (9:00 am) for the Run for Shelter 5K, a scenic run/walk to benefit the Centre House homeless shelter. This 3.1-mile run/walk will benefit Centre House, our homeless shelter at 217 East Nittany Avenue. The scenic course begins at Centre House and winds through the historic Highlands neighborhood and fraternity row. Like last year there will be live music, refreshments, prizes and more. (more info)
