This Sunday is Father's Day. It is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honor your father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in your life - whether as stepfathers, uncles, grandfathers, or "big brothers." The Spikes will open their summer home schedule this Saturday (June 14) with a bevy of special events and great promotions for the entire family. The Home Opener activities include an extended post-game FIREWORKS display that will light up the skies over Happy Valley! Ballpark gates will open at the special time of 5:30 p.m. for the general public, and the first 2,500 fans will receive their 2014 Spikes Schedule Magnets. (schedule)
The Historic Bellefonte Cruise has grown into a much-anticipated Central Pennsylvania event attended by more than 10,000 people each year. On Friday (6/13) the streets will be open from 6:00-7:30pm for the public to "CRUISE" downtown Bellefonte -- just like it used to be!! Following this cruise there will be a "SOCK HOP" until 11:00pm. Saturday is the car, truck and bike show in downtown Bellefonte. (more info)
