First Friday

The First Friday of each month will become a festive atmosphere in downtown State College beginning at 5pm. Patrons to the downtown can count on a mixture of art, music, monthly themes and activities, along with retail and restaurant discounts. As always, garage parking in the Pugh, Fraser and Beaver garages will be free with validations from participating merchants. This Friday get Free Chocolate to the first 50 customers at participating businesses. (See February 6 events)

Penn State Winter Sports

Penn State Winter Sports are all in full-swing. The fifth-ranked wrestlers will be taking on #1 Iowa at the sold-out BJC this Sunday.  If you don't have tickets, check out the other events happening on campus this week. Men's volleyball will be in action Friday night and also have an Alumni match on Saturday.  The women's and men's gymnastic team will also have events in Rec Hall this weekend.  Other teams in action on campus this weekend are the Hockey team, Women Lacrosse and Men Basketball vs Nebraska. Get out of the cold and check out some top-quality student athletes. You can find more information of upcoming PSU Sports events on our Community Calendar and our Penn State Sports pages.
