Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks makes his first appearance to Central PA in 18 years starting this Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center.  Brooks will perform 6 shows (three this weekend and three next). Trisha Yearwood will open the shows. There are still a few seats left to all the shows. (more info here)

Healthy Kids Day

Healthy Kids Day is the YMCA’s national initiative to improve the health and well being of families across the country. The State College YMCA will hold events this Saturday from 1-4pm and encourage parents to make play dates with their kids every day as a simple way to become a healthier, more active and connected family. Penn State Renaissance Faire

The Penn State Renaissance Faire is a free admission day faire lat Sidney Freidman Park this Saturday from 11am to 6pm. The faire will have performances and demos from local organizations and Penn State clubs. The faire will also include vendors, booths, themed characters and a children’s corner. (more info)
