Obituary of Delmas 'Buck' A McCloskey Jr., 87


Delmas "Buck" A. McCloskey Jr., 87 of Mill Hall, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 29, 1931 in Williamsport, Pa. the son of the late Delmas & Edna Fravel McCloskey Sr.

On May 27, 1952 he married Ruth Dickey she survives at home.

Buck proudly served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church. He worked at Piper Aircraft retiring after many years of service.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Along with his wife he is survived by three daughters; Patricia (Joseph) Newman, Lisa Gingerich, and Jeannette McCloskey all of Mill Hall, two sons; William (Jackie) of Virginia and Robert (Malinda) McCloskey of Mill Hall, three brothers; Ralph, Robert and Larry McCloskey, two sisters; Vera Mann and Dianne Wisniewski and many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents he is preceded by a brother Harry Irvin McCLoskey and a sister Dretta Kessinger.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church with Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Military Rites will be conducted following the service at the church. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 - 12:00 prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Baptist Cemetery in Blanchard.
