Obituary of Fay E. Watkins, 95


Fay E. Watkins, 95 of Marsh Creek, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2017 at her granddaughter, Alicia Smith's home. She was born on December 23, 1921, the daughter of Harry and Abbie Woomer. On October 1, 1940, she married Elry Watkins who preceded her in death.

Fay was a hard worker all of her life and truly enjoyed raising her children, especially packing a picnic lunch and spending the day along the stream fishing with them and it didn't stop there. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren playing games and telling them stories.

Fay enjoyed quilt making and made sure her children and grandchildren each received one.

She was preceded in death by all four of her children; Will, Ruth, Miles and Lester, a great granddaughter Brooke Watkins, her sister, Mary and brothers, Harold and Merrill.

She is survived by her sister Charlotte Allison, daughter-in-laws, Linda Watkins and Jacque Watkins, her grandchilden, Dave (VeeAnn) Reeder, Carol (Mike) Janes, Misty (Daryll) Coakley, Corey (Traci) Watkins, Denny (Linn) Watkins, Alicia (Tom) Smith, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildrren.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard with the Pastor Dan Longmore officiating. Friends and family will be received from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Summit Hill Cemetery in Howard, Pa.
