Obituary of Frederick Jerome Raymond, 93


Frederick J. Raymond, 93, of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born in Bellefonte, on November 19, 1924, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Dunlap) Raymond. He was married to his beloved wife, Laura (Englert) Raymond, who survives him at home.

He was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He served in WWII European Theatre Tank Division. Frederick received a Purple Heart from the United States Military. He worked in Civil Service for the Army Reserve.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Yorks, one brother, Donald Raymond, and one step-son, Gary J. Baird.

Frederick was a life member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bellefonte. He was also a lifetime member of the BPOE #1094.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10-11am at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 120 W. Lamb Street Bellefonte. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11am at the church with Father Carlton Kelley officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Episcopal Columbarium.
