Obituary of John E. Royer, 82


John E. Royer, 82, of Mill Hall, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Susque-View Nursing Home in Lock Haven. Born on November 26, 1936, in Lamar Twp., he was the son of the late Gershon C. and Kathryn C. Albright Royer.

John was of the Protestant faith. He was enlisted in the US Army in 1961 and earned the rank of PFC before his honorable discharge in 1963.

After his discharge, John worked at Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven.

John enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of numerous sportsman clubs in both Clinton and Centre Counties. He had a lot of fun teaching children to tie flys for fishing. His favorite pastime was boating at the Sayers Dam in Howard.

John is survived by one son, Randy Thomas, of Florida, his sister, Margaret Matter and her husband, John, of Mill Hall, best friends, Jim and Donna Graves of Lamar, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6-7pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Funeral services will be at 7pm at the funeral home with Pastor Joan Gorton officiating. Burial will be private at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mill Hall.
