Obituary of Theodore L. 'Ted' Coulter, 68


Theodore L. “Ted” Coulter, 68, of Spring Mills, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Hearthside Nursing Home in State College. Born on August 18, 1949, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late H. Theodore and Frances E. Fohringer Coulter.

Ted was of the Methodist faith. He was enlisted in the US Army prior to his honorable discharge. Ted retired from Penn State University after 20 years of service in the Agricultural Sciences Department.

Ted enjoyed hunting, camping, and restoring furniture. He was a huge NASCAR fan. He was a past member of the Potters Mills VFW.

Ted is survived by his two sons; Terry S. Coulter of Douglassville, PA and Kevin T. Coulter and his wife, Sarah, of Holly Springs, NC. Also surviving are his five grandchildren; Mihret, Tsion, Ezra, Cameron, and Kayla, and one brother, Gerald T. Coulter and his fiancé, Debbie Glessner of Spring Mills.

The family would like thank Tammy Stauffer and Debbie Glessner for the excellent care they gave to Ted while living at home.

In accordance with Ted’s wishes, all services will be private. Memorial donations can be given to the donor’s choice.
