Obituary of Vickie K. Rhoads, 70


Vickie K. Rhoads, 70 of Beech Creek, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at her residence. She was born on January 10, 1949 in Lock Haven, the daughter of the late Donald Shaw & Alice Peters Glossner.

Vickie worked at Woolrich in Howard and Blanchard and also the Furst Corner in Beech Creek. She attended the Monument Church of Christ. She was an avid reader, ceramic crafter,and enjoyed needle work and spending time with her family, particularly watching her grandsons play baseball. She also enjoyed spending time and keeping up with her many many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Lock Haven High School Class of 1966.

On March 23, 1968 she was united in marriage to Steven C. Rhoads who survives at home. She is also survived by a son; Craig (Lori) Rhoads of Avis, a daughter; Crystal (Jim) Corl of Mill Hall, four grandsons; Jeremy & Chad Hillyard and Toner & Asher Corl, two brothers; Kenneth & Richard Glossner and two sisters; Ruth Jackman & Janice Saar. She was preceded by five brothers; William, Gene, Bruce, Keith, & Robert Glossner and three sisters; Doris Dixon, Phyllis Emenhizer & Shirley Confer.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard, with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officating. Friends and family will be received from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery in Howard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monument Church of Christ, c/o of the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, PO Box 108, Howard, Pa. 16841.
