Obituary of William C. Culp , 90
William "Bill" C. Culp, 90, of Bellefonte, died Monday, November 26, 2012 at Centre Crest Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Bellefonte.
He was born Oct. 9, 1922 in Johnstown, a son of the late Lloyd and Louise Ann Moss Culp.
Having just celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary on September 18, they were married in 1942. His wife, Eva Wissinger Culp survives at home.
After graduating from high school; Bill served in the U. S. Army earning the rank of Technical Sergeant 4, prior to his service related disability.
Mr. Culp went on to learn the watch making trade, and spent much of his working life as a watch maker and was a member of the Watchmaker's Guild.
One of his favorite pass times was serving as an Amateur or Ham Radio Operator.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Beth Markle and her husband James of Bellefonte; a son William C. Culp Jr. of Pennsylvania Furnace, a granddaughter Amy Markle Hooks and her husband Brian and a great granddaughter Harper Hooks.
At his request all services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial at Centre County Memorial Park.
