There are several ways to move and/or zoom a pan-tilt web camera from within the TrueLook Player:
- You can click anywhere in the image to re-center the image at that exact location. A single click will command the camera to take a new picture. You may also issue a single click command inside the viewfinder window to re-center the camera on that location as well.
- You may click and drag a "zoom" box on the image. The new picture will move and zoom in to the space you define with the box. You will see your zoom box as you drag it, similar to what is depicted in example 1
- If you want to view an image far away from the current view or zoom out to a specific field of view, you may also click and drag a box inside the viewfinder at the bottom of the player window (see example 2).
- Another method for navigating to a new location within the TrueLook Player is through the "Presets" menu within the camera controls identified by the
icon. By selecting a preset, you can jump to any location of interest the camera provider has configured.
- To make the camera zoom in:
- Click and drag a box as described above, and the camera will zoom in to show that view; or
- Activate the zoom slider
icon and drag the zoom slider to choose your desired zoom level; or
- Click and drag a zoom box in the viewfinder at the bottom of the player
- To make the camera zoom out:
- Activate the zoom slider
icon and drag the zoom slider to choose your desired zoom level.
- Click and drag a zoom box in the viewfinder at the bottom of the player
There are times where the range of the camera’s pan/tilt and/or zoom abilities will have been limited by the camera owner for privacy purposes. In these instances, you will receive a message that the camera cannot move any farther or that its zoom has been restricted. Additionally, the viewfinder may not always be available per the camera owner’s preference.
