A multi-car accident on E. College Ave. caused some traffic delays Thursday afternoon. Two vehicles collided at the intersection of E. College Ave. and the exit ramp leading from the westbound lanes of the 322 bypass. It happened at about 1:45 p.m.
Those cars were blocking the intersection as State College Police investigated. Members of the Alpha Fire Company were also on the scene, directing traffic and picking up debris. Only one lane of traffic was getting by in each direction.
A third vehicle, with serious front end damage, was stopped about 150 feet away, in the westbound lanes of E. College Ave. It’s unclear whether that car somehow hit the other two cars, or was involved in a separate accident.
There is no word yet on whether there were any injuries.
It had been raining hard in the area but it’s unclear whether the weather played a role in the accident.
