When State College Borough Council meets Monday night, it will look back on 2011 before shifting its focus to 2013 and beyond.
Council is set to present its first quarter financial report, 2011 audit report and year-end budget report. While details will not be released until tonight’s meeting, last year’s report was positive for the Borough.
Nearly all funds, both governmental and enterprise, were ‘On Target.’ The only fund that saw a percentage performance below expectations was that of revenues for parking funds.
The next phase of the proposed Capital Improvement Plan for 2013-17 will be heard by Council. On Monday, regional and other products and information sciences and technology will be discussed.
A June 4 public hearing is scheduled prior to the Capital Improvement Plan’s approval.
So far, the highlight of the proposed Capital Improvement Plan has been the discussion over moving toward tearing down the Pugh Street parking garage and building a new garage in a different location. No timetable has been set, but two engineering firms confirmed the parking garage is nearing the end of its useful life.
Other items to be addressed at Borough Council Monday night include:
- Green Certification Performance Bond
- State College Land Area Plan and Future Land Use Map
- Discovery Space
As always, Council meetings are open to the public. Call to order is at 7:30 p.m. on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 234 S. Allen St.
