Penn State Extension Centre County Master Gardeners will sponsor a Home Gardening School on Saturday, March 28.

Join Penn State Extension Master Gardeners for a full day of presentations geared to help you get your garden off to a great start.

The event will be held at the Forest Resources Building on the University Park Campus. There will be two learning tracks from which to choose:

Managing your Home Landscape — From backyard to front, turf to terrace, learn the ins-and-outs of successfully managing your home landscape.

Growing Greener: Gardening for Nature — This series of classes invites you to examine your yard as a piece of the larger ecosystem. Presentations in this track offer suggestions on how to incorporate sustainable gardening practices into your home landscape to promote a healthier garden for you and the environment.

The Home Gardening School will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will also include a seed exchange, Master Gardener question and answer session, door prizes and a boxed lunch. The registration fee is $60, and the registration deadline is Friday, March 14.
