Centre County added one new COVID-19 case on Monday, bringing its total to 147 since the first was reported on March 20, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
In the past two weeks, Centre County has added 28 new cases.
Statewide, Pennsylvania’s total number of cases is now 68,186, with 473 new positives added on Monday. It was the 14th consecutive day the state has had fewer than 1,000 new cases and the lowest single-day increase since March 25, although there is most likely a lag in reporting over the holiday weekend.
Using a calculation ‘similar to what is being done by several other states,’ DOH estimates 61 percent — 41,593— of Pennsylvanians with the virus have recovered.
Pennsylvania has had 5,139 deaths attributed to the virus, including 15 added to the count by the health department on Monday.
Centre County has had six COVID-19 deaths, according to the department, with the most recent reported on Saturday.

Among Centre County’s bordering counties, Huntingdon now has 228 cases, Mifflin has 58, Union has 54, Clinton has 51, Blair has 48 and Clearfield has 34.
A total of 334,928 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19, including 1,930 people in Centre County. Across the state, 1,533 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, with 324 requiring a ventilator, as of noon on Monday.
