The Centre County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash last week near the Bellefonte interchange of Interstate 80.

Mary Edwards, a 74-year-old resident of Saxton, Bedford County, died of blunt force chest trauma in the crash late Friday afternoon on the 1400 block of Jacksonville Road in Spring Township, Deputy Coroner Jason Brooks wrote in a press release.

A Ford F-350 truck towing a camper was traveling southbound on Jacksonville Road at about 5:05 p.m. when it collided with a Jaguar station wagon that turned left in front of it at the I-80 exit 161 eastbound off-ramp, according to Spring Township police.

Edwards, who was a passenger in the Jaguar, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jaguar suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment, police wrote. The driver of the F-350 was not injured.
