Dean Yockey became a feel-good Internet sensation on Friday after a video of him shedding tears of joy when his wife surprised him with Rose Bowl tickets went viral.
Later in the day on Friday, the Penn State fan got another surprise — a phone call from Nittany Lion coach James Franklin.
‘I just wanted to track you down and let you know how much we appreciate your support,’ Franklin said.
‘I appreciate what you’ve done for the team this year and the school, that’s for sure,’ Yockey replied.
