Former Boise State wrestler Carson Kuhn announced on Instagram Tuesday night that he was transferring to Penn State. The team confirmed Kuhn’s transfer Wednesday morning when it updated its roster to include the 125-pound senior.
Kuhn compiled a 13-8 record through three seasons with Boise State, before the university controversially discontinued its wrestling program last year.
At 125 pounds, Kuhn gives Penn State another option at a weight class it has struggled at all season as the Nittany Lions still look to fill the void left by Nick Suriano’s transfer to Rutgers.
Redshirt freshman Devin Schnupp is 1-9 overall and 0-5 in dual meets. Schnupp is however still listed as the lone starter at 125 pounds. in the team’s lineup for this weekend’s duals at Michigan and Michigan State.
