State College police are investigating a reported burglary and indecent assault at 425 Waupelani Drive, authorities said Saturday.
The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Friday in a ground-level apartment there, according to a police report. Police said a male intruder startled a female resident who was sitting alone at her kitchen table.
They said the man was wearing no pants or underwear and masturbated in front of the victim. She fled and sought help from neighbors, who called the police, according to the police report. The victim was not physically injured.
Police described the intruder as a white man with a slender build. He stands about five feet seven inches tall and was wearing a green, surgical-style face mask and a dark hat, police said.
He also was wearing a dark-colored shirt that was pulled up to his chest, according to the police report.
Borough patrol units arrived on the scene immediately after receiving the 911 call, but the suspect was not found in the area, police said. An investigation is continuing.
