A man offering $500 Victoria’s Secret gift cards to women at Penn State has prompted an investigation, the university reported.

In several incidents, according to a news release, the man has contacted students and offered them the gift cards. He has refused to identify himself in his communications, requesting to meet the targeted women in person, Penn State reported.

Authorities have not identified the man in question.

Penn State police are asking any witnesses — and anyone who’s experienced such an interaction — to call the police office at (814) 863-1111 or Centre County Crimestoppers at (877) 99-CRIME. Crimestoppers provides rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
