Man Accused in State College Jewelry Theft Taken into Custody

A man accused of stealing about $6,000 in jewelry from Moyer’s Jewelers, 100 E. College Ave., State College, has been apprehended in Waukegan, Ill., borough police announced.

Police said the man, Brandon A. Keller, 36, was arrested Sept. 11 on two arrest warrants issued in Centre County. One was a felony theft warrant stemming from the Moyer’s incident, reported Dec. 23, 2010; the other, stemming from a misdemeanor-level retail-theft incident reported at McLanahan’s Downtown Market, 116 S. Allen St, police said.

Keller is being held in Lake Couty Jail, in Illinois, as he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania, according to a news release.
