Penn State Football: Texas is back in the spotlight of Big Ten Expansion after an e-mail between the commissioner and Ohio State’s president. 

OSU President Gordon Gee wrote he spoke to Texas President Bill Powers, but acknowledged the possible ‘Tech’ problem.

Spanier Contract: Penn State President Graham Spanier had his contract extended at least until 2015. He will reportedly earn $700,000 per year under the new contract, which begins in July.

Downtown Toilets: State College is extending hours for some public bathrooms and planning to add some portable toilets downtown, all in the hopes of reducing public urination.

Motorist Search: Patton Township police are seeking a driver who fled at about 2 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle is a full-size, dark-colored pickup truck, and was last seen traveling north on North Fillmore near Buffalo Run Road.
