State College got a glimpse of winter this morning, when we woke up to discover a dusting of snow had fallen overnight.
But don’t worry, old man winter isn’t moving in just yet.
Accuweather Senior Meteorologist Tom Kines says that while the next couple of days will be unseasonably cold there shouldn’t be anymore snow.
“That’s pretty much it,” Kines says of the early snow. “Flurries may be around tonight or tomorrow morning, but in general the theme over next couple of days is ‘cold.’”
Beginning Friday, temperatures should get up to where they should be for this time of year, Kines says. The weekend should see a high of the mid-50’s.
“By Thursday we’ll get up into 40’s,” Kines says. “The weekend will be on the mild side and should make it into the 50’s.”
Kines says wind will be present over the next couple of days, but shouldn’t be excessive.
As for rain, State College should be safe until nearly Monday.
