A section of Calder Way in State College is closed after a water main break.
Multiple agencies responded on Thursday evening to a report of heavy water coming up on the road near the intersection of Kelly Alley and West Calder Way. A water main break was discovered and water was shut off to the area.
Calder Way is closed between South Pugh Street and South Fraser Street until repairs are finished, according to a notice from the borough.
Most businesses in the area will remain open, however Indigo night club was unable to open on Thursday night. According to its Facebook page, the club plans to reopen at 9 p.m. on Friday.
Portable facilities were brought into the affected area and alternate arrangements are being made for deliveries that normally take place on the road.
