The ACC/Big Ten Challenge annually provides Penn State with one of its more noteworthy nonconference games.

The Big Ten announced Monday that Boston College is paying a return visit to Penn State as part of the Challenge on Nov. 28. Tip-off times and network broadcast details still need to be finalized.

The Challenge also offers a chance for a big-name program to visit the Bryce Jordan Center. In 2010, Maryland came to Penn State and promptly defeated the Nittany Lions by 23 points in an ugly early season beating. Penn State, of course, would go on to earn its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2001 that season.

Last season, first-year coach Pat Chambers and Co. visited Chestnut Hill and came away with an eight-point victory at Boston College.

The ACC won the first 10 Challenges, but the Big Ten has taken the last three.
