Penn State football Coach Joe Paterno may not be thrilled about having a bye week.
But quarterback Matt McGloin doesn’t seem to mind.
‘The bye week couldn’t come at a better time for us,’ McGloin said in a post-game press conference Saturday, after the Nittany Lions topped the Fighting Illini at Beaver Stadium. He called the bye week a time to heal.
‘It’s also good we can start focusing early on Nebraska,’ McGloin said.
Penn State has this week off. They’ll return to the Beaver Stadium field Nov. 12, when Nebraska will come to University Park.
StateCollege.com Managing Editor William Derrick was at the post-Illinois-game press conference and assembled this video report, featuring McGloin; coaches Joe Paterno, Tom Bradley and Jay Paterno; and some other players.
